Morning all, back a little later than usual as I forgot to blog this morning. One of my regular customers asked for a card for her husband from her 2 boys. She wanted football themed so I came up with this! The image is from Digistamp Boutique and I flipped it and lined them up using the football, coloured up with copics I made the hair colours the same as the boys and added some buttons and a computer generated sentiment!

25th Wedding Anniversary.

Morning all, back to share another recent order. This one was an 8x8 card for a 25th Wedding anniversary. 25 is silver so I used lots of silver card to make it. I cut the numbers on my cricut and mounted on circles and scallop circles. The flowers are a Marianne die and the leaves are an old whimsy die.

It was really hard to get a decent pic so this is all I managed!

Back tomorrow with something new!

Gorjuss set!

Afternoon all, just playing catch up as I missed 2 posts over the weekend! I have a very valid excuse though, some friends are visiting from London so we spent yesterday with them!
These next cards (6 of them!!) I have decided will go as a set. a friend gave me a tag set feturing the gorjuss girls and whilst I wasn't sure how to use them before I found some gorjuss envelopes and card blanks which I cut right down and used as papers (otherwise they would have been wasted!) I just added embellishments and ribbons and voila!

GRAND FINALE!!

*wipes leaky eyes*

Morning (sob sob) hope you are all ok. Today it is with a heavy heart that Ladybug Crafts Ink is closing its doors :( Kerry decided she hated us all and wanted rid of us and realised the threat of the P45 just didn't cut it!! (ok this is totally made up of course!!) So todays post will be the last ever Totally Ladybug Tuesday, all of us ladybugs (soon to be retired) used our favourite LCI stamp.

The first ever LCI challenge was back in 2010 and we have been going strong ever since!

My favourite image is Daydreaming Ruby. She is just beautiful! And in true tradition of the ladybugs ribbing me of my hate for pink it seemed fitting that I would make a pink card! ....

So what else can I say? I am gutted that this will be the last challenge, I loved every minute of being a ladybug and my eyes are all leaky! Thanks Kerry for having me on the team, although to be fair you didn't get much choice lol ... I am not sorry that me and Lisa persuaded you into having a design team ....

Oh and I almost forgot .... go grab a bargain from the shop ...

A slighty different post

Morning all, 2 posts today! This one is a little bit different to my usual! Sarah asked me if I would participate in a hop to share a bit about my creative process.

Thanks for nominating me!

I have four questions to answer:
1. What am I working on?

I am working on a bit of everything, I have 2 current DT projects on the go which I need to finish today, I have also been working on packs of christmas cards for craft fairs on the run up to christmas, I have made 6 packs already but working on 2 different ones. I have a notepad to finish aswell for an order, as well as a list as long as my arm for other orders. My desk looks like a bomb has hit!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

My work is very much influenced by others, I spend hours trawling pinterest and hopping through blogs looking at what other people make. I love some of the ideas they come up with and bookmark the idea for later! unfortunately there are only so many hours in the day that I can't make it all! I prefer to make male cards that I do female as I find them easier without all of the faff, and I HATE PINK!

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

Now this is a hard one. I struggle to write things on my blog posts as I don't want to bore everyone lol. I try and keep it simple and to the point if I can! I also set myself a challenge in January to blog every single week day! I have managed this and now the card volume is so high I blog at weekends too! I create because it keeps me sane! most of you know the issues I had with my health a few years ago, this stopped me from crafting and it annoyed me so much that I couldn't sit and create! Then when we came to Scotland I decided to give myself a push and set up a facebook page to really push myself in selling my cards! Its going amazingly and I have lots of lovely customers who keep returning for more!

4. How does my writing/creating process work?

There isn't really logic to it, most days I tuck myself away in my craft room. I sit staring at the papers and then get busy! This only ever happens when the children are at school though. I struggle to create when they are home. Weekends I rarely craft unless I have a last minute order!
I am nominating Kitty to carry on this hop from me so please pop and see her next Monday. I don't physically know Kitty in person, but I have to say she runs one of the best craft shops ever!

Happy birthday!

Morning all, back to share a recent order. This card I LOVE! i love the colours and I love the layout! It's just perfect! I used one of my wee stamps toppers from The Hobby House. I added papers from Nitwit, all mounted on purple. The I added a computer generated sentiment, some flowers and some pearl brads to the centre.

Thats all for today!

Happy birthday - 60!

Morning all, sharing a quick card I made a while back. The request was a birthday card for someone, they will be 60m, and love scotland! So I made my first ever tartan card!

I grabbed a feather duster and buffed up the cricut for the numbers, printed out some tatan paper and added a computer generated sentiment. A few small gems in the corners and voila!

Cocktail Table Names - Charity Event!

One of my regular customers asked me to make up some table names for a charity event she was hosting for CLAN. I knew exactly how I wanted them to look so set to making them up. They are approximately 7x7 inches and are double sided. Both sides are identical.

And these are photos from my customer:

Love it!!
