One of the loveliest ladies in the world.

My Gran, or as we like to call her Grannybasher!! Not sure how she got the name but we have called it her for years, she never smacked us, she was always there for us and she used to live 5 doors down the street so every morning before school we would pop in for a cuppa tea and some toast covered in butter!! A luxury as mum and dad didn't buy butter!!
My Gran suffered from Alzheimers, as horrible as it sounds we used to joke with her about it, especially when she asked the same question for the 100th time!! I remember one time when my Auntie brought her up here to stay with me for 2 weeks we went out for lunch, I asked if she needed another cuppa tea and she said no as she already had some, then she cupped her hands around the milk jug and complained that her tea was now cold, just the silly little things she did but make such a difference!!

My Gran took her last breath this afternoon, at least she is no longer suffering and I know that she loved us and we loved her, at least I got to see her only last week but it is so painful to know that my grannybasher has gone and I will never see her again!! Life can be so cruel

Rest in peace Grannybasher, I love you and miss you so much!!

I don't expect anyone to comment on this blog post, it is here simply as this blog shows parts of my life which I would not be able to talk about otherwise!

This picture was taken at my Dads wedding in 2007, she was telling my dad off for lifting up his kilt and showing off the willywarmer he was wearing underneath!! Good old Grannybasher!! keep him in place!
