New lease of life!

Did anyone see my post yesterday about a boring old clipboard? Post is here.

Anyway these 2 clipboards started their life off looking like this

So I took some of this

And with 2 coats on each side and 12 hours drying time they now look like this.

For my Daughter, who chose DCWV Safari stack papers.

And for my son who chose Crate paper aliens, but didn't want any extra pictures like his sisters!

So easy to do, although the hardest bit I have so far found is finding a shop on the high street which sells Wooden clipboards, and another which sells chalk!!!

If anyone would like to make these I shall make it a little easier for you.

Clipboards from this eBay seller
Chalk from Wilkos (white only!)
Coloured Chalk from eBay (various sellers have a look for what you will need)
Blackboard paint from Wilkos

The children love them, my OH loves them, I am chuffed with them.

OH however often just looks at me like I am crazy, but he will see in a few days time when the children are occupied on the 7 hour journey from Blyth to Cornwall for our holidays!!

I would like to enter it into the following challenges please.

One Stop Craft Challenge - Not a card
Simon Says Stamp - Make a gift (it is a gift for my children!)
The Pixie Cottage - Anything but a card
Stampin for the weekend - Anything goes
Sarah Hurley challenge - Anything but a card
Sarah Hurley - Animals (Pink clipboard using zebra print paper and monkey image)
I did it creations - Anything but ...

How fun!! The best part is the chalkboard paint so they can take and erase notes when they don't want to use paper!!
