Table Decorations

Every year at christmas we are lucky enough to go to Paul's Dads for christmas dinner and also a buffet for tea, meaning no cooking or buying of food for us, apart from buying several boxes of wine to take round to his dads for everyone! Anyway this year has been a tough one for everyone, with me losing my Gran in March, and Paul's step grandad was taken to hospital and had his leg amputated, and then recently had his other foot amputated. So things were up in the air, not knowing if Grandad Vic would be allowed home for christmas day, or not we decided that this year we would take the pressure off my MIL and have christmas dinner at home, then wander over to their house late afternoon to see them.

I wanted the table to look pretty, so I bought a lovely red faux silk table runner, a nice gold candle and some confetti which I will lightly sprinkle. I just need some red napkins and I will be happy! I wanted to make some table places, but didn't want just a piece of folded card, so I dug out these fab glass jars from Ikea (yes I know you can get similar in the £ shop but I prefer these!) I printed out the fab image from Meljen this was a freebie, and coloured and glittered it up. I also printed names just above the image. I then added another circle to the side of the glass jar and added a couple of different snowflakes just to give it a not so plain look! The ribbons were a freebie from America when I placed an order with a lady over there!

Hope you like them!

P.S They are filled with Jelly Belly Jelly beans! A must in this house as we all love them!!

I would like to enter these into the following challenge.

Hi there

I am thrilled you have joined in my "Free and Easy" theme at Allsorts this fortnight and confess to being astounded by the huge response this weekend.

I usually like to visit every entry and say a few words about their creations, but the sheer volume so far along with the Christmas preparations we all have to juggle means this is a "copied and pasted" message, for which I apologise.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and wonderful holiday period.
