The first being Snow Angel. This is just my children all over, at the very first sign of a white snow covered floor they both just drop and make snow angels, so this image was perfect for Thomas to give to his Dad!
I added lots of glitter, gems for the buttons on his coat and coloured in his hat and scarf in 2 different shades of blue. I cut a small sheet of matching card and ran it through the cuttlebug snowflakes folder. Added some ribbon and a snowflake charm and used Thickers chipboard alpha for the letters. The papers are a digi paper, not sure where from though sorry!
Then onto a card from Maddison
I spotted "First taste of snow" This is very typical of Maddison, first sign of raindrops or snow and her tongue comes out and she likes to try and catch it! LOL she is so funny sometimes! I knew I just had to use this image. I wanted it to be bright and girly, just like our little princess!
Again the image is glittered in lots of places, coloured in using copics, added a few flowers across the top and ribbons in a criss cross. I used the same idea to run some coordinating card which was put through the snowflake folder. I added pearls to the top and bottom and also letters (papermania) If you click the picture it will make it bigger, and you will see a happy accident (I seem to have quite a few of these lately!) I printed out some papers, then realised it was too light so put the paper back in the printer so I could print on the back, totally being thick I forgot to put it upside down, so it printed the bold pink over the lighter pink small dots, so I have dots within dots in 2 shades, and it looks great in real life!
Think you will agree, they are both very different to your normal everyday christmas cards, but both children love them and I know that Paul will cherish them forever!
I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:
