Where did all of that stash come from???

Well can anyone tell me where it all came from? I knew I had a LOT but seriously ....

Yes I can see you are all sitting there thinking oh my gosh what a scruffy cow ... but seriously this has needed doing for an awful long time!!
So we set to this morning ... 6 hours later and we have all of the boxes sorted and in some kind of order, there is a massive box full of stuff to ebay (this will take me hours to list it!! Grrr) and there are just a few other bits and bobs which we need to sort and find homes for!! .... I am simply posting pictures as a reminder for me, in the vain hope I keep it in some sort of order .... well for at least a week anyway!!

I must not buy anymore 6x6 pads, or 8x8 pads, or stamps, or nesties, or embossing folders, or DST, or card blanks ... OK you get the picture!!

I was supposed to be sharing a card with you today, but I figured this was better for me ... hope to have some organised photos to share tomorrow!

LOLOLOLOLLOL, I daren't look at what I need to do to restore order... definately like Lisa's theory about the stash fairy!!
Well done for sorting through everything though, I always find it amazing looking through what I bought years ago and thinking to myself, "why on Earth did I ever buy..."
I can't believe you let your Husband see it all though, seriously, Simon would go nuts if he knew how much stuff I had and hadn't used!!! My reasoning behind buying lots if that we never know what we might need at some point plus lets face it, buying is part of the fun and hobby in itself!!! I always feel happier when I have bought some new stash!!!

Oh, Tams, that's exactly what I need to do but I keep putting it off. And I'm sure my hubby wouldn't be smiling if he were helping lol!

:-) wow! This is one of those jobs that is a good idea when you start but 10 minutes into it you wonder why the hell you started!! Well done for tackling it though!! It will be so much better afterwards!! By the way your other half is so sweet for helping you!!! Pami x,

LOL :-) Is Paul smiling? A natural reaction to a camera being pointed in his general direction, or the onset of hysteria???

My craft room is my former dining room but I appear to have taken over, and we now eat at the kitchen table or on trays, LOL (apart from Christmas or when we have people over, then I am FORCED to put it all away!!).
I have a storage area but am shocking at putting things away as I use them, until I hit the, "no, can't work in a 6" square" point then it's a grand put away :-)
I'm quite good at using what I buy though (now, shocking when I first started crafting!), and anything I don't have use for anymore gets passed on to my friend's daughter who has caught the craft bug from me (ooops!!) I also give her most of the free papers and bits and bobs that come from magazines, cos I never use them (except the feebie Molly Blooms stamps, they are mine all mine!!)

I haven't spotted the stash fairy round here, but I have noticed that when you put two MS punches in the same box overnight they appear to produce offspring... sometimes a border punch, or sometimes a co-ordinating corner punch to match a border one you already have (which is jolly handy!!). The same seems to happen with my Copics! :-D
Stangely I don't think HB is convinced with my explination (probably because he sees the bank statement with the incriminating evidence printed in black and white!)

Hope that order and calm continues
Sue xx

Wow Tams, that's a lot of stash! I have most of my stuff in a cupboard (it's a big cupboard!), some under a sofa in a 12x12 RUB, I've taken over some storage in the kitchen and have loads in the garage. Split up into different areas it doesn't seem so bad but I would hate my OH to see it all together ;-)

Oh so sorry Tams; I'm rolling laughing!!! :D

I never want to organize my room; just too overwhelming...although I try small things here and there. HA!

You go girl...BTW, everyone is right - it's like your laundry, at night when the lights are off, these things get together and MULTIPLY!

Hugs!

I havenearly all my stash organized, meaning I know exactly where are my different things, and like Sue I'm quite good at using what I buy... but I think I might have that much stash if I dared empty my cupboard...

I thought Paul was part of your stash Tams lolololol. My OH walked into my craft room a couple of years ago, looked around and said 'you must have hundreds of pounds worth of stuff here'...If he only knew!!! Well done for clearing out and organising...something that has been my NYR for the last 5 years!! xx

Wow Tams that certainly is a lot of stash - how did you convince your hubby to help you organise it all? You'll have to post after photos too x
