Anyone got any new discs for sale??

Evening all ... I keep getting emails left right and centre from worried friends ... I am ok... well as ok as I can be!

I had an MRI scan today ... and it went well, apart from the crawling on the floor due to the pain! the lady who did the scan remembered me from last year when I had my last one and was shocked to see me back there in so much pain, she asked what was being done and was suprised that no one was bothered about me being in pain and keep passing me around ...

Anyway she went out of her way today and sent me home with a disc which I need to throw at my doctor to get some better pain relief ... but before doing so I snagged some pictures to share ...

Basically the same disc which has caused me problems for just over 2 years, has now ruptured, and the tissue is pressing on the nerve!! ... yup it is as serious as it sounds, but I am still sitting at home in agony with no one doing anything!! ... tomorrow I am on the phone to the consultant kicking off again!

P.S before I share the pictures, this evening I recieved a phone call from the lovely lady who did my MRI, she gave me lots of advice at the clinic today but she called me tonight to see how I was and make sure I was home safe and comfortable!

In this next picture (click to enlarge) it shows where the disc has ruptured, you can see in the pictures above that the disc above it is bulging aswell .... lets hope that one doesn't rupture aswell!

Those pictures look very familiar. At 36 my disc ruptured, more like exploded and since no one had seen anyone with that bad of a rupture and still be talking, they sent me into surgery removing 80% of the disc.
The nerve was so damaged it was brite red, btw nerves are white.
Good news is the damaged nerve was for touch not movement (have to remind my hubby when he grabs the wrong side, heheh) and although I have good days and bad days I am fully functional.
The L5 disc that was ruptured is now spreading it's love to L4. they want to fuse me but I think I am going to wait until I have the kids out of the house.
If you want any information or just to cry and whine, email me.....I will understand.
Good Luck.

What a great opportunity to talk to someone that's been through what you're going through Tams. Those of us that haven't can only imagine the pain you're in...unless it's anything like child birth then I'm there!! xx

Oh no how horrible. I hope that this means that the doctors finally do something to sort your pain out - it's ridiculous they've let it get to this stage! I'll be thinking of you and if there's anything at all I can do to help with anything let me know x
