Tea for Two!

Still playing catch up, and normally I post my whimsy inspiration on a Wednesday ... but I am a day late!!

This card was not what it was supposed to be, it seems in the busy period I lost my mojo so I ended up starting with something simple in the hope it will return and normal service can resume!

I used part of the brand new Cooking With Love sentiments by Raindrop Echo. I left the image uncoloured and teamed it with some papers by first edition!

I even decorated the inside!!

Thats all for today! back tomorrow!

Whimsy Inspiration - Cute Bunnies!

Its that time of the week again (actually I am a day later than usual) but time to share some whimsy inspiration.

This week I made a card using a really old paper pad with one of the new release images from whimsy. I LOVE how this turned out, its so bright and colourful!

So when I saw this cute image from StampArt Designs I knew I had to use it. This one is called Happy Spring

Back tomorrow with something less PINK!! (yes I know the ladybugs are loving this one!! I will never live it down!)

Pink???

Pink again?? apparently you can never have too much pink but I am now starting to fear that all these pink cards are starting to take over!! I would like to say this will be my last one for a while but I have posts scheduled for tuesday and wednesday both of which have pink elements!!

So this was made a while back, using papers from Michele R Designs, this one is called Magnolia Spring Blossom. Matched with Magnolia baby stamp this card will end up as either a new baby card or a christening card (I will add a sentiment as and when I use the card)

Back tomorrow with another card from LCI through the ages release!!

Whimsy inspiration

Afternoon all, a bit later than planned but here with my whimsy inspiration for this week.
I used this beautiful image called Pretty Petals 2, which is from StampArt Design.

Copics : B97, B95, B93, B91

Originally it was going to be in pinks, but I decided I had done enough pink cards to last a lifetime so out came the blues! I coloured the image in with copics adding glamour dist to the centre of each flower. Papers are Echo Park mounted on Bazill Double dot. The sentiment is a rub on which I have had for years but it worked perfectly. Now all I need to decide is whether it is a mothers day card, or a birthday card!

First Christening card

Just a quick post to share I card order. A friend of mine asked for me to make a christening card for her, having never made one I knew it was something I would need to try. I inked up this magnolia stamp a couple of times (to try a couple of different variations) and matched them with papers from Whimsy, Michele R Designs, they are called Magnolia Spring Blossom.

(as you can see this was another card that I had to photo using my phone!!)

Needless to say the customer was very happy with the card.

Copics:
Skin - E21, E00, E000
Pinks - R85, R83, R81
Creams - E41, E40, 0

Back tomorrow with another card!

Whimsy Feb Challenge - Add some metal!

Time for another challenge at Whimsy, this time it is team B's turn to play and the challenge is nice and easy,

For this card I used an image called Little Geek by Marika Collins, teamed her up with MME Papers and a good luck sentiment. My metal comes in the form of staples to hold the sentiment in place. Not something I do very often but I love the effect!

Apologies for the poor pic quality, normal service shall be resumed shortly I replaced the missing card with 4 shiny new ones lets see how long it takes for me to lose them!

Copics:
Trousers - B97, B95, B93, B91
Top - R85, R83, R81
Hair - E29, E27, E25, E23

Whimsy Inspiration - Valentines

Time to for a little Whimsy inspiration. For this weeks card I cheated a little and used a cute little extra which you get with Raggedy Boy & Raggedy Girl, from StampArt Design. I made it into a cute, valentines card, well actually 2!

I kept it simple using only 2 colours, I embossed the back panel, coloured the hearts with copics and added some glossy accents to them. Finishing it off with some ribbon.

Copics - R29, R27, R24, R22

And as you can see, they are easy enough and quick enough to make a few!

Thats all for today, hope to post over the weekend but I stupidly lost another memory card, which had pics on ready to upload, one of which was an order which had been delivered already! DOH!

Whimsy Inspiration - Fairydust!

Morning all, back today showing a card I made using an image from a brand new artist for Whimsy.

For my card I made it a double challenge as this was the first card I totally made and finished in 2013, and everything I used on this card was out of my Secret Santa from one of the ladybugs!

So I organised the secret santa this year, but there was a bit of a twist .... you could not send anything brand new, it all had to be *OLD STASH* from what you would not use but already had .... the girls seemed to like the idea and I know we were all very happy ...  when I opened my secret santa on christmas day some amazing goodies fell out and I challenged myself to only use things from the box .... so with the exception of the copics, the image and the nesties everything else came in the pack of goodies, even the rubons for the sentiment!! .... I made this for my secret santa on the off chance she might own up so I can send it to her ....

Thats all for today!
