A slighty different post

Morning all, 2 posts today! This one is a little bit different to my usual! Sarah asked me if I would participate in a hop to share a bit about my creative process.

Thanks for nominating me!

I have four questions to answer:
1. What am I working on?

I am working on a bit of everything, I have 2 current DT projects on the go which I need to finish today, I have also been working on packs of christmas cards for craft fairs on the run up to christmas, I have made 6 packs already but working on 2 different ones. I have a notepad to finish aswell for an order, as well as a list as long as my arm for other orders. My desk looks like a bomb has hit!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

My work is very much influenced by others, I spend hours trawling pinterest and hopping through blogs looking at what other people make. I love some of the ideas they come up with and bookmark the idea for later! unfortunately there are only so many hours in the day that I can't make it all! I prefer to make male cards that I do female as I find them easier without all of the faff, and I HATE PINK!

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

Now this is a hard one. I struggle to write things on my blog posts as I don't want to bore everyone lol. I try and keep it simple and to the point if I can! I also set myself a challenge in January to blog every single week day! I have managed this and now the card volume is so high I blog at weekends too! I create because it keeps me sane! most of you know the issues I had with my health a few years ago, this stopped me from crafting and it annoyed me so much that I couldn't sit and create! Then when we came to Scotland I decided to give myself a push and set up a facebook page to really push myself in selling my cards! Its going amazingly and I have lots of lovely customers who keep returning for more!

4. How does my writing/creating process work?

There isn't really logic to it, most days I tuck myself away in my craft room. I sit staring at the papers and then get busy! This only ever happens when the children are at school though. I struggle to create when they are home. Weekends I rarely craft unless I have a last minute order!
I am nominating Kitty to carry on this hop from me so please pop and see her next Monday. I don't physically know Kitty in person, but I have to say she runs one of the best craft shops ever!
